38th Senior Chinese Officials visit Singapore

Senior Officials from the provinces of Zhejiang, Anhui and Inner Mongolia, visited Singapore from 3 - 14 November as part of the 38th Senior Chinese Officials (SCO) Study Visit to Singapore.

The 25-member delegation, comprised mainly Mayors and Party Secretaries, was led by Mr. Yue Yimin, Deputy Director of Zhejiang Organization Department, General Director of Zhejiang Department of Personnal. The theme of the study visit for the 38th SCO was to understand the Urban Planning and (Sustainable) Development of Singapore.

The SCO program ended with Closing Dialogue Session chaired by Mr Andrew Tan, Director of Centre for Livable Cities and Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Environment & Water Resources and 3 Senior Officials from Urban Redevelopment Authority, Housing Development Board & Public Utlilities Board.  The session allowed Singaporean and Chinese counterparts to have an in-depth discussion on urban planning and development related issues.
