Jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore and AusAid, Australia, CSC conducted the Better Governance in the Public Sector Programme for participants from the ASEAN countries. With the key aim of sharing Singapore's experience in public governance, the participants learned the importance of transparency in governance and stemming corruption. A second run for the programme will take place in March 2007 for participants from the Pacific Islands.
The programme seeks to-
- Provide participants with an overview of Singapore’s experience in this area
- Introduce participants to effective laws, enforcement and prosecution used to stem corruption
- Look at process and procedures used to achieve clean governance.
